Types Of Care

Our Commitment

Fhionn’s Afterschool has a high level of commitment to our customers and for this reason we wish to ensure that they have regular contact with us through Manager/Parent Meetings, Record Keeping, Open Days, Family Gatherings and Social Events. We operate an excellent communication policy ensuring all our parents have direct access to and interaction with all members of the team.

We are also providing 2 of the TEC Scheme – supporting parents on eligible training courses by providing funded childcare places for children  aged 12mths – 8years.

1. Childcare Education and Training Support Scheme (CETS) The CETS Scheme formerly catered for FAS and VEC training course participants and now provides childcare on behalf of the Local Education and Training Boards.

2. After-School Child Care Scheme (ASCC) The ASCC is administered on behalf of the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and provides afterschool care for primary school children for certain categories of working parents and parents on DSP employment Schemes (not including Community Employment).

As your child’s interests and needs develop we at Fhionn’s Afterschool provide a great deal of individual attention, so that we can adapt activities to your child’s individual needs. Our routine provides for a wide range of activities, including regular quiet and choice play periods as well as group and project work.

Weekly and monthly activity curriculum plans are drawn up which gives parents an insight into what types of activities their children will be exposed to and what they will be learning and encouraged to do. Children will have access to the outdoor play area on a daily basis so we ask that children are dressed appropriately each day.
