Fhionn’s Afterschool was established in 2013 and is affiliated with The Toddler Inn Crèche based on the Navan Road in Dublin 7.
In this time, the service has grown and developed. It is continuously developing to provide a quality service meeting the needs of the children and parents of Holy Family NS.

What time do you open & close?
We open for breakfast club at 7.30am-9.00am & 1.30pm-6.30pm

Do you help with homework?
Homework Is supervised . Our staff assist the children with their written homework while encouraging them to try their best. Reading cannot be supervised.

Do you provide breakfast?
Yes, we provide cereal and toast each morning.

Do you provide lunch?
No, children bring in their own lunches. We have a kettle, toaster and microwave. Food can be reheated. All food requiring reheating must be stored in our fridge at the start of the day.

How much are your fees?
We offer different prices for different registrations. Please contact us on 087 4122 465 for a quotation

Do you offer a daily rate?

Is there a deposit required?
Yes, one months fee is required in advance to secure your place

How much notice must I give if my child is leaving the service?
We require 30 days notice

Do the children watch TV?
No

Can you do different days each week?
No, we cannot facilitate different days each week. You must have set days each week.

Can you cater for part time places?
Yes, We offer a 2day, 3 day or 5 day place.

Do you cater for pre school children?
No, we only cater for school going children.

Can you cater for children with nut allergies?
Yes, we work closely with families to ensure individual needs are met

What days of the year are you closed?
We are only open for school term – September to June. We do not operate on school holidays/midterm etc

What do the children do in a typical afternoon?
We have activities like A&C, Games, Dress Up, Music, Messy Play, Chill out area, use of 2 outdoor areas (pitch & yard), we offer spaces for relaxing, choice play and group activities. We also have a separate homework room.

Do you run camps?
No

Do you facilitate dropping the children to afterschool activities?
Yes, if based in the school or community centre

Do you collect children from afterschool activities?
No

The aim of Fhionn’s Afterschool is to provide the highest possible standards of Childcare, ensuring the welfare of each child and carer is always paramount.
This is achieved with the support of and through our excellent relationship with Tusla, Fingal Childcare Committee, Early Childhood Ireland (ECI) and other regulatory and educational bodies.

Statutory Bodies

Fhionn’s Afterschool is registered with the appropriate government bodies, both health and education, and complies with all statutory regulations and requirements We operate an open door policy of inspection from the relevant health, fire, safety, educational and professional bodies who regulate our industry. We comply with current legislation, and work in adherence to the current Child Care (Pre-School Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 1997 and Child Care (Pre-School Services) Regulations 2006.

As these regulations are revised so do we revise our compliance, as we are continually promoting best practices in the industry by working hand in hand with our partners in Tusla and Early Childhood Ireland (ECI).
